Langstaffe (S.E). In memory of Jane Crosby, wife of Samuel Crosby of Powis House who died August 1st 1840, aged 46 years. also of Mary Bleamire of Powis House, mother of the above Jane Crosby who died December 29th 1849 aged 92 years. William Crosby, youngest son of Samuel and Jane Crosby aged 20 years. and George Langstaffe their farm servant aged 24 years. who were both drowned in the river Eden, near Bolton Bridge, May 24th 1848 and interred in one grave in this place.

Here lie interred the Remains of Christopher the Son of Christopher and Mary Laverick who died January the 20th A.D. 1800 Aged 73 years. (W. side). This humble monument of perishable stone, placed here by a sorrowful mother, is only meant to record for a season the death of Elizabeth Nicholson, daughter of the Reverend Jonathan Nicholson, late rector of Cadeby in the County of Leicester, and Elizabeth his wife, she died respected and lamented on the 30th of April 1828 in the 33rd years. of her age. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Elizabeth Nicholson, wife of the above-named Jonathan Nicholson who died at Kirkby Thore August 11th 1844, was 82 years. of age.

This stone was erected by her son Edward Scott of Penrith. Also William Titterington her grandson, and son of John and Jane Titterington died February 18, 1831 aged 5 years.
Sewell (S. wall of porch). Near this stone are deposited the remains of the Reverend . Jonathan Sewel, Incumbent of Templesowerby and Soulby Chapels, who died February 19th 1803 aged 84. Also of his two sons George who died June 13, 1804 aged 40 and Joseph who died January 6, 1788 aged 18 years. also Catherine his wife who died 7 July 1807 aged 82 years. also Mary his daughter wife of the Reverend H. Atkinson, rector of Asby, who died 16 February 1807 aged 58 years.
