Beetham (S. altar tomb). Nigh this place lie the remains of John Tomlinson of Haslack, born 1596, died May 2nd 1678. Elizabeth his wife died February 7th 1670. Thomas Tomlinson their son born 1618, died May 27th 1718, Jane, wife of Thomas Tomlinson and daughter of Robt. Dickinson of Whasset died January 27th 1691. John son of Thomas and Jane Tomlinson died January 22nd 1691. Ellen his wife and daughter of William Smith of Arkholme died January 22nd 1691.

Agnes his wife And daughter of Thomas Hutton of Overthwaite, died September .26th 1720 aged 33. Jane his second wife And daughter of Robt. Eskrigge of Eskrigge, died September . 27th 1749 aged 67.

Also of Thomas Tomlinson of Biggins who died January 1st 1811 aged 84 years.

And of Margaret Tomlinson wife of Joseph Tomlinson of the same place, son of the above who departed this life February 25th 1852 aged 74 years. also of Joseph Tomlinson of Barbon, yeoman, son of Joseph and Elizabeth Tomlinson who departed this life January 21st 1857 aged 80 years.

Edward Rawlinson brother of Elizabeth Tomlinson died February 16th 1840 aged 71. Edward Tomlinson third son of Edward and Elizabeth Tomlinson died April 15th 1827 aged 23. Isabella Tomlinson youngest daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Tomlinson died October 8th 1832 aged 21. Also in m.
