Barton (E. wall, rails). Crest, (in wall over stone) ; out of ducal coronet
pomegranate. Arms (on stone). Eagle displayed or on canton fess dancette
between 6 billets. Inn m. Catherine Corney the beloved wife of William Hugh
Parkin Esquire of Raven-cragg in this parish, born 17th February 1809, 25th
October 1848.
Burton In Kendal (In. S). In Memory of John Parkinson, Surgeon, and Apothecary of this Town who
d. the 29th of September . 1797 Aged 71 years. By his great professional Skill and
Success an extensive Neighbourhood was highly benefited for 40 year–and his
practical Attentions and Care were rewarded with due Reputation, and the
final Acquirement of an ample Fortune ;- of which he bequeathed 800 Pounds
as a Fund to increase the Salary of the Grammar School of Burton and to
assist 20 poor Boys and 14 Girls in obtaining a christian, orderly and
useful Education. An affectionate Sister erected this Monument. Arms, fess
between 3 feathers erect.

Ann Parkinson Whose Remains are interr'd at the West-End of this Church
Yard. He After 60 years. assiduous Attention To the Profession of Writing and
Accounts clos'd an exemplary Life of 85 years. the 5th of November 1780. She
followed her departed Consort in the 94th years. of her Age the 19th of April
1786; Their surviving Son and daughter In Testimony of their filial Duty and
Affection erected this Monument.

Heversham (E). In affectionate remembrance of Margaret the beloved daughter of Christopher & Elizabeth
Parkinson of Leasgill who departed this life October 23rd, 1876 aged 22 years. " Blessed are
the dead which die in the Lord.
Heversham (N. altar tomb, rail). To the memory of Margaret the Wife of John Parkinson who died
at College Green June 30th, 1853 in the 53rd years. of her age, also of John
Parkinson of College Green, the beloved husband of the above who died July
4th, 1858 in the 59th years. of his age, also of Robert, grandson of the above
who died April 6th, 1866 aged 8 years.
Kendal (W. flat tomb). In memory of Robert Nicholson of this town, hosier, Who died January
29th 1821 aged 76. Frances his wife died October 24th 1832 aged 82. John his son
d. May 26th 1810 aged 36.. Hannah, sister of Robert Nicholson, died February 28th
1837 aged 77 and William his son Who died September . 19th 1842 aged 55, also of
Agnes Parkinson, daughter of the above-named Robert and Frances Nicholson who died
on the 20th day of July 1849 aged 66y., by Whom this stone was erected.
