Appleby St Michael (S. W). Sacred memory of Richd. Satterthwaite, Sergt. Royal Westmorland Militia, who d. L. 26 August 1818 Aged 44 years. Also of Jane his Wife who died January 6th 1836 aged 62 years.

Grasmere (N). Gathered to the side of kindred whom in their declining years She faithfully & affectionately tended, Here lies the Body of Elizabeth Satterthwaite, late of Loughrigg Holme. She died at Stanwix near Carlisle the 4th day of March 1849; Aged 35 years. This Stone is erected in grateful remembrance to the memory of her. And of Elizabeth Youdell who died at Rydal 12th January 1834 Aged 67 years. ; And of Jonathan Youdell who died at Rydal 28th Novr. 1841, Aged 79 years.
