Grasmere (E). Here lie the remains of the Reverend . Jos. Sympson, Minister of Witheburn for more than 50 years. He died June 27th 1807 aged 92. Also Mary his wife who died January 24, 1806 aged 81. Also of Elizth. Jane their youngest Dr. who died September . 4, 1804 aged 37.


Kendal (In. N ). Sacred memory of William Sympson 31 years. senior Alderman of this Burgh, & Jane his wife, daughter of Alan Chambre. He died September 18, 1776, aged 78. he died August 4, 1781 aged 83. Sacred memory of Joseph Sympson and Rebecca his wife, daughter of John Miller. Senior Alderman of this Burgh, He died October 31, 1806 aged 76, she died November 21,1781 aged 41.
