Heversham (N. altar tomb). In memory of the Reverend . John Langhorn, who in 1786 crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Upper Canada where he continued 27 years. as a Missionary in the service of the Society for the propagation of the Gospel in Foreign parts. Finally he closed his steady life at Natland Beck, near Kendal May 15th 1817 Aged 73 years. And of Martha his Sister who died February 21st 1828 Aged 75 y. And of the Reverend . John Corry who died April 17th 1828 Aged 44 years. And of Elizabeth his Wife who died May 31st 1828 Aged 39 years. And of John their Son who d. January 4th, 1822 Aged 11 m.
