Barton (N.W). In affectionate remembrance of Margaret the beloved wife of Joseph Lowthian who died at Winder Hall February l4th 1880 aged 48 years. Also Timothy their son who died in Infancy August 2nd 1864. Also Margaret their daughter who died in Infancy May 14th 1867.

Heversham (E). Sacred memory of Hannah Lowthian, of Kendal, who died February 22nd 1836 aged 77, she was a faithful servant in the family of the late Mr. Thomas Greenhow of Kendal, for more than fifty years. , by whom this stone is placed in token of grateful and affectionate remembrance.
