Barton (N.W). In memory of Elizabeth the beloved daughter of John and Jane Barrow of
Pooley Bridge who died October 21st 1873 aged 18 years. & 5 m.
Beetham (In. S). Sacred memory of Mary Anderson, fourth daughter of Robert and Mary Anderson
of Cirencester, Gloucestershire ; who died (at the residence of her aunt Mrs.
Barrow) at Milnthorpe June 6th 1834 aged 19 years. Thus early removed from this
transitory scene, it is a great consolation to her friends to know she was
perfectly resigned to the Will of God; humblv hoping for salvation through
the merits of the redeemer. Her affectionate father caused this tablet to be
erected to her memory.
Beetham (E). In Memory of James Barrow late of Meathop who departed this life the 1st day of June 1831
Aged 71 years.

April 7th 1843 Aged 18 years. Also of Agnes their daughter, who died June 12th
1860 Aged 43. Also of John Barrow, father of the above, died February 7th 1862
Aged 78. Also of Betty, Widow of the above John Barrow, died January 14th 1868
Aged 81. Also Elizabeth, Daughter of the above John Barrow who died April 11th
1880 in the 70th years. of her age.
Kendal (Bellingham chapel). Memorial.- This is to certify that the Brass Plates
to the East of this Inscription were collected from the Floor and Pew doors
of this church, during its Restoration in 1851 and 1852, and were carefully
preserved and are precisely the same as they were found at the time. In
testimony whereof we have caused this Brass plate to be engraved. Joseph
Watkins Barnes, vicar of Kendal. William Chaplin, curate; churchwardens,
John Mann, churchhusband, Edward Branthwaite, Isaac Edmondson, Joseph
Barrow, Robert B. Hunter, Rainforth Hodgson, Samuel Compston, Thomas Busher,
Henry Cragg, Thomas Brockelbank, Anthony Nicholson, Joseph Morton,
Christopher Birkett, John Washington, Parish clerk.
Kendal (N). Sacred memory of William Barrow, who departed life January 16th, 1825, in the 51st years. of
his age. His disconsolate Widow, as a testimony of her affectionate regard,
caused this stone to be erected.
Weep not, dear friends, I am at peace and rest
With no corroding care, or pain opprest ;
Then, O prepare, for soon like me you must
Be food for worms, and mingle with the dust.
Also Barbara Barrow, who died January 20th, 1829, aged 58 years. Also of William
Dunn Barrow, their Grandson, died July 25th, 1832, aged 3 years. and 7m. Also of
Frances, son of the above William . and Barbara Barrow, who died May 3rd, 1834, aged
36.
Kirkby Lonsdale (W). Sacred memory of Jane Barrow the beloved wife of William Barrow, of Kirkby
Lonsdale, died June 24, 1859 aged 66 years. Also of Edward Barrow, Son of the
above, died September 13, 1839 aged 2 years. And also of their daughter Mary Barrow,
d. September 14, 1835 aged 17 years. and Jane Barrow died October 7, 1843 aged 19
y. also of the above named William Barrow, born June 19th 1791 died January 19th
1877. And John Barrow son of the above who died on the 1st day of June 1872
aged 52 years.
