Heversham (In. N. Levens chapel). Sacred memory of General the Honble. Arthur Upton of Levens
Hall and Kilburn, Middlesex, third son of John Henry first Viscount
Templetown of Castle Upton, County Antrim, Ireland. He was born at Wonham in
Surrey Janry. 15th I807, died in London April 23rd 1883. He married in 1866
the Honble. Frederica Blake, daughter of Joseph Henry, 3rd Baron Wallscourt of
Ardfry County Galway, Ireland. He served in the ColdstreaIll Guards and
after becoming General was appointed Colonel of H.M. 107th Regiment of Foot.
This monument is erected in loving and grateful remembrance by His Nephew
and Niece, whom He ever loved as His own children. The righteous shall be
had in everlasting remembrance. Psalm CXII. 6. A.F.M.S., H.M.G. July I884.
