Bampton (In Porch S). Here lyes the Body of William Birkett of Troutbeck, Writing Master, who died here in ye 35th years. of his age and was buried February 22nd A.D. 1716.


Beetham (W). Sacred memory of Jane Birkett who died at Beetham July 15th 1866 aged 66 years. She patient bore the ills of Life, Her Maker did adore. A Mother kind; a faithful wife, Her God exacts no more. This stone is erected by her affectionate Son E. B. Also of Joseph her eldest son who died in Liverpool April 12th 1869 aged 37 years.


Heversham (E) . Elizabeth, daughter of John Birkett of Milnthorpe died 20th December . 1751. John Birkett of Milnthorpe died 3rd December 1754. Elizabeth, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth D . . . . . and relict of John Birkett, died l0th August 1793 aged 86. Mary the daughter of the above John & Elizabeth Birkett died at Kendal the 12th of March 1842 aged 93 years.


Heversham (In. chancel N). Sacred memory of Richard Birkett who was born at Milnthorpe on the 14th day of May 1739 0. S. and died at Clapton in Middlesex the 15th day of January 1829 in his 90th years. , also to his sister Mary Birkett, who died at Kendal in Westmoreland the 12th day of March 1842 aged 93 years.


Kendal (Bellingham chapel). Memorial.- This is to certify that the Brass Plates to the East of this Inscription were collected from the Floor and Pew doors of this church, during its Restoration in 1851 and 1852, and were carefully preserved and are precisely the same as they were found at the time. In testimony whereof we have caused this Brass plate to be engraved. Joseph Watkins Barnes, vicar of Kendal. William Chaplin, curate; churchwardens, John Mann, churchhusband, Edward Branthwaite, Isaac Edmondson, Joseph Barrow, Robert B. Hunter, Rainforth Hodgson, Samuel Compston, Thomas Busher, Henry Cragg, Thomas Brockelbank, Anthony Nicholson, Joseph Morton, Christopher Birkett, John Washington, Parish clerk.


Shap (E). In memory of Matthew Teasdale of Rosegill who died May 11, 1830 aged 71 years. Also of Margaret his daughter who died November . 25th 1818 aged 19. Also of his daughter Elizabeth who died June 20, 1822 aged 25. Also near this place lies the body of Thomas Birkett, his brother-in-law, who died August 28, 1820 aged 58. Also Mary Teasdale died October 6th 1831 aged 27. Also Margaret, wife of Matthew Teasdale, who died March 9th 1850 aged 79.


Windermere (N.flat tomb). In remembrance of Thomas Birkett of Henning who departed this life January 29th 1837 aged 87 years. And Elizabeth who departed this life October 22nd 184l aged 89 years.
