Westmorland Church Notes - Marshall


Marshall Asby

(S. Wall). Here lies the Body of Lancelot Marshall of Whygill-head, who d. L. December the 26th, 1772, aged 80. Also Margaret his Wife who died December the 19th, 1773, aged 83. Also Robert their son who died January the 4th, 1773, aged 53. When our short glass of life is run, Death's fatal dart no one can shun, Then let us all still watch and pray Least (sic) unprepared we're call'd away. Also Robert Son of the above Robert and Hannah Marshall who died I. the 24th dayof July 1775, aged 17.

Marshall Bampton

(E). Sacred memory of John Marshall, B. at Warton in the County of Lancaster and died at Staingarth in this Parish May 24th 1851 Aged 91 years. And of Mary his Wife who died at Hullock How May 1St 1862 Aged 103 years. Also of John Squire Marshall their son who died at Staingarth March l0th 1837 aged 46 years.
