Wilson Appleby St Lawrence

(N.E). In affectionate remembrance of Ann the beloved wife of George Wilson who died February 19th, 1877 in her 84th years. Also of the said George Wilson who died on the 20th of August 1878 in the 84th years. of his age. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life," JOHN C. 111, v. 16. Also of Mary Annie Wilson, Grand-daughter of the above who died December 16th aged 32 and was interred at Liverpool December 18th 1878.

Also of John Wilson, her husband, sepervisor of Excise who died at Cracoe House in this parish June the 7th 1839 aged 74 years. , also of Caroline Wilson their daughter who died at Cracoe House March the 11th 1851 aged 54 years. , also of their son Amos Wilson B.A, who died at Wheat Close Cottage, Bampton, Westmorland, January 1st 1873 aged 67 years. A daughter dutiful & a sister kind, In sickness patient & in death resigned, This stone is erected by Amos Wilson as a token of esteem and affection for his sincerely lamented parents & sister.

In memory of Sarah Sutcliffe who died at Dallam Tower July 28th 1840 in the 53rd years. of her age, she was born at Stanley near Wakefield, and had been 35 years. in the service of George Wilson Esqre and his family, faithfully discharging the duties of that station in life into which it had pleased God to call her.

Also Elizabeth wife of William Ward Who died I. at Mill Lane School, Old Swan, West Derby, near Liverpool February 22d 1830, Aged 69 years. She was a diligent, faithful, loving Wife; A tender, indulgent Parent ; A sincere Friend; and a pious Christian. She lived an example worthy the imitation of her Sex. Her Husband erected this Stone As a Testimony of Gratitude to her Memory. Also of William Ward, Husband of the above who died the 23rd day of January 1853 at 69 King St. Whitehaven Aged 90 years. , for 27 years. Gardener to the late Daniel Wilson Esqr., of Dallam Tower, and 30 years. Master of the National School, Old Swan, near Liverpool.

(In. pillar S). Near this Pillar are interred the Remains of Daniel Wilson Esqr. of Dallam Tower who. departed this life the 31st of May An. Dom. 1754 Aged 74. He married Elizabeth, daughter of William Crowle Esqr. of Hull in Yorkshire By whom he had Issue 6 Son and 2 daughters He represented the County of Westmoreland in Parliament near 40 years. with the strictest Honour and Integrity. In private Life He was an Affectionate Husband, An Indulgent Parent, A sincere Friend, An Hospitable Neighbour, and in all Stations of Life His Conduct was Uniform & Consistent. His Son Edward Wilson Esqre. erected this Monument to his Memory.

Here lie the remains of Daniel Wilson of Dallam Tower, Esquire, living to an advanced age, respected and beloved by all who knew him, he died in peace November l0th 1824 in his 78th years. , he was twice married leaving no issue by his first wife Beatrix, daughter of Samuel Egerton of Tatton Park Esqr. By his second wife Sarah only daughter of Robert Harper Esqr. of Heath, he left issue two daurs. " Keep Innocency and take heed unto the thing that is right, for that shall bring a man peace at the last." Here also is interred the body of Sarah dau and heiress of Robert Harper Esq., of Heath, in the County of York, and wife of the above, she died December 25th 1829 in the 66th years. of her age. " In the sight of the righteous they seemed to die, and their departure is taken for misery, and their going from us to utter destruction, but they are in peace." Wisdom chap. 3. " Thy will be done ", here also are interred the remains of Georgiana, eldest daughter of George and Sarah Wilson, born December 4th 1812, she d. July 26th 1846, she sought early and earnestly peace with God, and found it alone in the merits of her Saviour. " Seek, and ye shall find." S. Mat. c. 7. v. 7.

In the adjoining vault are laid the remains of Frances Wilson, youngest daughter of the above who died December 30th 1842 in the 23rd years. of her age." " I will never leave thee nor forsake thee." here also lie the remains of George Wilson Esqr. husband of the above Sarah Wilson, son of the Rt. Honl. John and Lady Georgiana Smyth of Heath in the county of York, formerly Colonel in the Coldstream Guards, born November 6th 1782, died March 8th 1853. He married Agnes daughter of Mr. George Wilson of Kenda1 by whom he had Issue one Da: called Mary; who died the 23d day of March 1733 in the 7th years. of her age, and lies interred in the same Grave.

Beneath this Stone lie the Remains of Margaret the Wife of Smith Wilson who d. the 7 day of August 1812 Aged 33. " Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus and shall present us with you." Henry Wilson died 7th May 1830 Aged 27., and Lomax Isaac Wilson died 30 September 1830 Aged 18. (W. side). In memory of Thomas Wilson Late of Kent Lane, Kendal, Hosier, who died May 29, 1800 aged 57. He was an able and active magistrate, a tender father and sincere friend; his afflicted children, as a small tho' inadequate testimony of their affection to the most indulgent of parents, have erected this monument to his memory.

Wilson and Mary Ann his wife who died the 21st day of April 1831 aged 2 years. She was interred in a vault in the Parish Church of Stockport. (3). In affectionate remembrance of James Hewetson Wilson, Son of J. H. Wilson and Mary Ann his wife who died the 12th day of November 1850 aged 24 years. He had just taken his degree at Oxford with distinguished Mathematical honours and was about to commence the study of the Law when he was suddenly called away. Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh.–24 Matthew, 44 verse. Also of Henry Hewetson Wilson, another son, who died the 5th day of March 1834 aged 3 years. They were both interred in a vault in the Parish Church of Stockport, Cheshire. (4). In affectionate remembrance of Mary Ann Wilson, Widow of J. H. Wilson, who died at Sunbury House, Watford, Herts, the 11th day of August 1865 in the 76th years. of .her age.
