(E). Inm. George Harrison, Esq. alderman of this Borough who died July 18th A.D. 1824 aged 74, also of Ann Harrison his wife daughter of Danl. Robinson Esq. who died March 23rd 1812, aged 59. As a last tribute of duty & gratitude to tender & virtuous parents this tablet is inscribed by their surviving daughters Ann & Jane with affectionate regret. " Sorrowful but not without hope."

(S. Aisle). In Memory of John Bowness whose life of great usefulness was finished by a death lingering but peaceful, on ye 8th November . 1763, in ye 73 Y. of his Age. And of Ann his Wife a Christian indeed who died 19th of May 1790, Aged 93. They were the indulgent parents of ten children, six 0 whom (viz :) Barbara and Ann, who lie buried in this Church-Yard, George, John and Robert, Merchants and Traders in Virginia, and Thomas, Vicar of Nafferton etc., † are already deceased. And the remaining four, Edward of Asby, William of Brentford Butts, Francis Rector of Gunton, etc., and Acting Magistrate for Suffolk, and Mary Robinson of Crossby Gart. (sic). cause this to be erected equally as a monument of their own filial gratitude and their Parents' Virtues.

(In Porch S). Sacred memory of eight endeared Relations whose. mortal Remains rest near this Hallowed Tablet; Reverend John Bowstead B.D. and H.M.N.A.S., Fifty-six y. Master of Bampton Grammar School, Forty years. Min. of Mardale Chapel, Ten years. Rector of Musgrave, all in Westmorland, And finally a Prebendary of Lichfield Conferred upon him by his favourite Nephew and grateful pupil The Right Reverend . James Bowstead died D. Lord Bishop of Lichfield. He was the eldest son of Thomas and Grace Bowstead, Yeoman. B. at Great Salkeld near Penrith Cumb. December . 24th 1754 and died at Great Musgrave November . lst 1841. Peggy his beloved wife, who was the youngest Daughter of Christopher and Elizabeth Mounsey of Eastward, Yeo- man, (and Cousin to George Mounsey Esqre. Memory of A. Formerly Fellow of Jesus College Cambridge and one of Dean Milner's close competitors), was born at Eastward aforesaid June 24th 1755 and died July 8th 1831. Elizabeth Bowstead, Spinster, their eldest Daughter, was born May 13th 1780 and died November . 30th 1841. Christopher Bowstead Esqre. of Messand Beck Hall, Haweswater, was born April 26th 1783 and died in May 1843. Hannah his pious Wife, who was the eldest Daughter of George and Mary Robinson of Scotch Street Carlisle, and mother of an only Son (the Reverend . John Bowstead M.A. Vicar of Messingham and Prebendary of Lincoln) died in 1847 aged 66. Mary Bowstead, Spinster, their fourth Daughter was born March 22nd 1789, and died June 18th 1844. Ann wife of Thomas Mounsey of Roughill, Yeoman, their third daughter, was born in November . 1784 and died in October 1845. Margaret their seventh and Youngest Daughter, (and Widowed Mother of Robert Docker, Scholar of Queen's College Oxford), was born April l0th 1798 and died in October 1849. Three other of their children were buried elsewhere; And three survive to lament their family loss. Pace quiescant; Gloria resurgant. This Tablet was erected by a dutiful Son and affectionate Brother The Reverend . Thomas Stanley Bowstead M.A. Vicar of Tarvin and Prebendary of Lichfield A.D. March 18th 1851.

This Monument of respect to the Memory of deceased relatives was erected by Sarah the wife of J. Memory of Carleton Esq. of Kenyon House near Richmond, Surrey.

She died March XIX, MDCCXCIX aged XXXVIII, he died February XXV, MDCCCVI aged IVIII. Also the remains of the Reverend Henry Robinson their oldest son, Vicar of Otley in the County of York, who died XIV of August MDCCCXXXIV aged XLII years.

Here Also Lieth the Body of Mrs. Isabel Dodgson, Relict of the said Mr. John Robinson, and Wife of Mr. John Dodgson Alderman, who died January the 11th l739 Aged 63. Here also lie interred the Remains of Mr. John Dodgson, Husband of the said Isabel and late Sen. Alderman of Kendal, who died the 4th of February 1765 Aged 86. And near this Stone are Deposited the Bodies of his two Grand-children, John Aged near twenty years. and Isabel Aged three. (Mostly Mr. Jennings'. 1861 Copy).

And William Robinson, her second Husband who died March 22d 1804 Aged 34, And George Craven her Father who died April 12th 1797 Aged 67. And Agnes Craven, his Widow who died April 19th 1821 Aged 93. The above Jane Robinson, died May 11th 1850 Aged 85. And Agnes daughter of the above Jane Robinson, who died August 17th 1852 Aged 64.

Matilda Robinson relict of the above William Robinson who died the 10th day of October 1846 aged 91 years. All the above-named were Interred near this Place, and the Monument was placed over the Remains of the above- named William Robinson to perpetuate the Remembrance of all the said deceased, and as a Token of Affection and Esteem by his Nephew George Robinson.
