Wood Beetham

(In. S). Near this Pillar is interred ye Body of George Crowle Esq. of Cunswick, who departed this life at Beethom ye 17th of April an. Dom. 1753 Aged 44. His afflicted Widow erected this Monument to his memorv. Also Elizabeth, Dr. of Samuel Wood Son of William . Wood Esqr. of Woolverhampton, & Elizabeth his Wife, Relict of the above Geo. Crowle Esqr. who died 30th April 1772 Aged 14. Also Elizabeth, Wife of Samuel Wood. She died May 25th 1787 Aged 62. And their Son, Samuel Wood of Milnthrop, who died March the 18th 1795 at the Age of 32Y. much lamented. Also of Frances Wood, Relict of the late Samuel Wood. B. October 2nd 1772, died June 1st 1821. Arms, unicorn passant between 3 fusils.

Wood Clifton

(Window, chancel N) + In memory of the Reverend . Joseph Wood Memory of A. of Cockermouth 21 years. Rector of this Parish who died 11th June 1868 aged 56y. +.

Wood Kendal

(W. altar tomb). To Memory of Agnes Simondson, daughter of William . and Eliz. Simondson who departed this life March 23d 1784 aged 23 years. , And Jane who died an Infant. Also James Haigh late of Manchester who departed this life March 25th 1785 aged 27 years. Likewise the Remains of Alice Wood their oldest (sic) daughter Wife of William . Wood who died October 28th 1787 Aged 31 years. And Elizabeth her daughter are here interred. Walter Simondson died Oct. 10th 1814 Aged 88 years. Marey (sic) his Wife died February 25th 1821 Aged 81.

Wood Kendal

(W). Elizabeth Wood 1829, daughter of J. C. & Alice Wood. To the memory of Alice, Wife of John Coates Wood, Surgeon in this Town, who died June 23rd 1835 Aged 35 years. Alice Wood Aged 2y. and 9 m., daughter of the above- named, And of John Coates Wood, their Son who died August 22nd 1837 Aged 10 years. John Coates Wood, Surgeon, departed this life August 18th 1843 Aged 40.

Wood Kirkby Lonsdale

(In the Vestry). Arms, (with lambrequin) 3 men with shields and spears. C. W. 1668. (In. N. on Wood). This porch by ye banes first builded was of heigholme hall they weare, and after Sould to Christopher Wood by willyam baines thereof last heyre, and is repayred as you see, and sett in ordergood: by the true owner nowe thereof, the foresaide Christopher Wood.* * This porch is now gone.
